IFP/PHX

Independent Feature Project of Phoenix, AZ

Ok gang, here's the deal. I love making films, even if they're not my own. So, I'd like to make an offer to IFP/Phx Members only... I will work as a Steadicam operator on your short film project for FREE. Not Glidecam, not a hand-held stabilizer, but a real full-blown Steadicam system.

So, what's the catch? 1) Must be an IFP/Phx member (no... Amanda did not put me up to this, I just believe in this group) 2) must be a short film, 1-2 days max shooting. 3) I have to read the script first 4) receive copy and credit as "Steadicam Operator" 5) Lots of water. And obviously, I have to be available. Other than that, I really just want to make some cool looking films here in Phoenix, and get to work with some of the other great filmmakers here in town.

About Me: I own a Steadicam ProVid2+ rig, which can fly cameras up to 25 pounds. I've flown HVX200, JVCHD100, XL2, 16mm Film, XDCam, and the HPX500 cameras. I will soon be testing to see if I can fly a loaded RED camera. I've been operating for about 2 years now, and have credits in shorts films, music videos, and feature films. See my IMDB Page here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2167546/

If you're interested, contact me with info about your project! My Steadicam reel currently contains some unreleased footage, so it can only be shown to serious directors upon request. LET'S MAKE SOME FILMS!

Hello Webb - your timing is impeccable. Just so happens we are in need of a steady cam operator for my project, Fallen Hero. It's shooting on May 1, 2, 3, 4, although we'll only need a steady cam operator for 2 of those days. I'll be happy to send you the script. The project is a SAG shoot with Vince Pascoe shooting on an advanced Arri SR3 with primes. We have some talent flying in from LA and the rest cast from AZ. I'd love to talk with you about the project.

If you'd like to learn more about the project specifics, please go to www.fallenheromovie.com. The script is currently undergoing another draft, but there is a copy of the script on the website.

Hope to hear from you soon.
