The American Western – Screenplay Contest
Let's start with the prizes:
First place will receive $100 and be guarenteed produced and receive copy and credit.
Second place will receive $75.
Third place will receive $50.
Requirements:
• 5-7 pages maximum
• Must have at least four characters that would be played by two adults and two children. Make no character’s sex a plot point in the script so that they can be changed out by casting. These must be the main characters.
• Can have up to two other speaking parts. These additional parts can be sex specific (ie. A saloon girl, a male sheriff, etc.)
• Must have at least one gun fight
• Can use horses or stunts, but keep them to a minimum.
Entries will be judged on writing skill, story, budget, and ability to be produced.
