Let me start by saying I am recommending none of these solutions. I use Final Draft and haven't tried many of these.
Now that that is out of the way, there is actually a pretty solid list of screenwriting tools available here (including templates for Word that are free):
I purchased Movie Magic online with e-bay. It cost about $90.00 and the program works great. I would recommend it to anyone, novice or seasoned writer.
celtx isn't bad and is crossplatform. I've used it a bit, especially if I'm going to be bouncing a script between my home and work computers. I generally end up moving everything into FD when I'm ready to move beyond the first draft, however. Then again, celtx is a full film production suite (or it's trying to be) not just screenwriting software.

Just FYI, the Twitter link is missing a "/" after the ".com" so it errors out. Should be http://twitter.com/6mfor6m in case anyone's interested. :)
