INTERNSHIPS
MARKETING AND MEMBERSHIP INTERN
Independent Feature Project: Phoenix (IFP/PHX), a national
organization with a chapter in Phoenix, is seeking an Intern to
help with the marketing and branding and membership administration
of the organization. This is a great opportunity to work with an
organization that works directly with Independent Filmmakers in the
growing TV/MP industry in AZ. Intern will also have involvement
with the Phoenix Film Foundation (parent organization) and the
Phoenix Film Society, Phoenix Film Festival and the International
Horror and Sci-Fi Festival (sibling organizations). Ideal candidate
must be extremely efficient, proactive, detailed and be able to
work effectively within a team environment.
Interaction:
• Reports to IFP/PHX Executive Dir, Operations Manager and Phoenix
Film Foundation Executive Director
• Works with IFP/PHX Filmmaker Advisory Council, IFP/PHX Executive
Staff, Directors of Festivals/Society
• Direct contact with all current and potential members, vendors,
press, ad agency
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft press releases of all current events; Assist with creating
press and sponsorship packets
• Gather and edit content for monthly e-Newsletter and weekly
e-blasts; distribute via web
• Write and publish copy for events on fliers, web pages, e-blasts,
showup.com, craigslist, myspace etc.
• Works with Membership/Events to create booth and staff booth at
Festivals and events
• Copy and distribute fliers about events; promote events
• Process new and renewing memberships
• Assist with quarterly membership orientations
• Weekly office hours (10-20), plus Marketing and Membership events
as scheduled (weekends, evenings)
• Other duties as required
• Meet and review monthly with Executive Staff
• Understands, believes in and upholds IFP/PHX's and Phoenix Film

Preferred Experience:
• BA in English, Communications Marketing or related field
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required; Adobe and basic html a
plus
• Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing
skills.
• Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility
in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Flexible schedule.

This is a great opportunity to work with an organization that works
directly with Independent Filmmakers in the growing TV/MP industry
in AZ. Intern will also have involvement with the Phoenix Film
Foundation (parent organization) and the Phoenix Film Society,
Phoenix Film Festival and the International Horror and Sci-Fi
Festival (sibling organizations). Ideal candidate must be extremely
partner-focused, proactive, detailed and be able to work
effectively within a team environment.

• Prepares handouts and materials
• Works with Directors to plan and execute events and education

• Assists and handles logistics
• Tracks financial and attendance for events
• Processes event evaluations and reports
• Weekly office hours (10-20), plus Education, Cinema Lounge and
other events as scheduled (weekends, evenings)
• Other duties as required
