IFP/Phoenix Sponsorship Opportunities

Independent Feature Project: Phoenix (IFP/PHX) supports and develops the growth of independent filmmaking in Arizona through comprehensive training, networking and exhibition opportunities. In March 2006, the Phoenix Film Project, created in 2001, was selected to become the next chapter of IFP.

Since its inception, short film challenges, educational workshops, film screenings and networking events have been a staple on the calendar of events. The film challenges draw as many as 100 submissions and 225 screening attendees with the winner becoming an automatic selection to the next Phoenix Film Festival. The educational workshops range from panel discussions to hands-on technical workshops. Monthly screenings of local and national independent films are well attended. The networking events bring directors, producers, actors, writers, musicians and film lovers together.

In April 2005, the Phoenix Film Project (IFP/PHX) launched SCREEN WARS, a weekly thirty-minute television show on AZ-TV. It showcased three-minute short films and provides unprecedented exposure for Arizona filmmakers. The first season garnered 7 EMMY (R) nominations and four wins with the second season drawing 6 nominations.

IFP/PHX is a 501c3 under the Phoenix Film Foundation and is a proud sibling of the Phoenix Film Festival, the Phoenix Film Society, the Arizona Student Film Festival and the International Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festival.
