Actor, writer, former newspaper reporter/editor/TV columnist, teacher.
BA with honors in Speech & Theatre, University of of Missouri-Kansas City, Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow nominee. SAG since 1970.
Range: cops to docs to cowboys, homeless men to U.S. Secretary of State. Good guys, bad guys, bad good guys, good bad guys.
Have lived and worked in Hollywood. Former parallel life as writer/reporter dovetailed with my acting, including supplying gags for Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" and profiling many celebrities, from Jimmy Stewart, Ted "Dr. Seuss" Geisel and playwright Neil Simon to dancer/choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov.
Returned to acting full-time in 1997.
