oh and one more important thing - do your best to get your hands on screenplays written by pros and read read read read read. If you need help finding some screenplays let me know...
I have taken classes through SCC and they are sufficient on learning about a process in developing your story. But I wouldn't recommend it. One is much better off picking up a good book on structure such as David Trottiers Screenwriters Bible

The table reads are every Wednesday night from 7 to 9pm at the Border's book store (right turn and go the the back of the store) on Alma School just north of the 60 freeway. Bring 10 pages of whatever you have or just come to read. We all look forward to seeing there!

Think about coming down the the Wednesday night screenwriter's table reads in Mesa. It's a great way of meeting other writers and improving your script 10 pages at a time!
