IFP/PHX

Independent Feature Project of Phoenix, AZ

Ok, I'm totally excited. I got copied on an email from Amanda about the IFP Film Challenges coming up. Something different to keep you all on your toes. Get yourself on a team or head-up a team now so it's not some bad deja vu nightmare of third grade kick ball team selection. DON'T BE LEFT OUT AND END UP GETTING SUGGESTIONS FROM THE TEACHER ON HOW TO SPEND YOUR TIME! Ok, was that too much information about me? Ok, so here's what I know so far (self plug coming up... if anyone wants a PA with a Starbucks discount - think about it, you're not going to sleep through some of these, caffeine could come in handy - give me a shout at my ifp email)

Mark Your Calendar: JULY 12th

PREP FOR 48-HOUR CHALLENGE -- Veterans of past challenges will take you through the grueling process of participating in a ultra-short-duration film challenge. Every tip and trick you learn will skim minutes or even hours off your challenge project. With only 48 hours (or less) to execute, you'll want every extra hour you can grab! A $5 discount applies to any team already signed up for the July 18th 48-hour Challenge (one individual discount per team).

Did you catch my bolding effect? How about 48 hours or LESS! That's right people, can you make a film in less than 48 hours?

It's going to be a good summer.

See you all on June 21st at the Audition Workshop and don't forget Cinema Lounge was cancelled this month. I hear good things a brewing for July with The Lounge. Also, check out First Friday Art Walk, this Friday. If you haven't checked this out - you should. I'm a die-hard First Friday girl and it's a great time to hang out with friends and check out the art scene in Phoenix. We have a table there for people to check out what we do, so if you want to help out give Kate Hoy a call or email, she always has room for one more.

Keep Your Cameras Rolling! (Ok, that sounded good but digital cameras don't really roll, do they?)

As soon as I know more, I'll let you know.

Catch you next time!

Last year's 48 Hour Challenge was the most fun I had on any film project. Not only am I looking forward to the July Challenge, but I've already signed up for the the Fall (36 Hour) and Winter (24 Hour) Challenges.

Let's do the impossible!
