"Fallen Hero" Trailer III

Fallen Hero examines the relationship between Daniel, a father in the throws of a divorce and his seven year old son, Jerry, in the aftermath of a school parking lot altercation in which Jerry witnesses his father brutally beaten by another man (emasculated, if you will) in front of his classmates. The story deals with the disillusionment of the Jerry’s hero worship for his father and how he tragically deals with it when his classmates tease him.

Directed by Marco Santiago and produced by Earnest Robinson, the film was shot on super 16mm with Vince Pascoe as Director of Photography, the film stars Yennifer Behrens (A Day Without a Mexican, Boston Legal, General Hospital, CSI, Nip/Tuck, Jag, The Agency), Kurt Caceres (Prison Break, World Trade Center, Ghost Whisperer, The Closer, The Shield, ER, Threat Matrix, All My Children, NYPD, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, Resurrection Blvd., American Family), Sasha Hunter, Alicia De La Vega, and introduces Adrian Moreira-Behrens.

Music is composed by Daniel Hamuy of Keysound Productions - http://www.keysoundprod.com, who also did the sound design and original music composition. You can listen to Daniel’s work on films such as Nutty Professor II, Flintstones II, Under the Same Moon, In Enemy Hands, The Waterboy, Anastasia, Brokedown Palace, Jingle All the Way, as well as numerous television works, such as JAG, MTV and numerous Showtime shows. Daniel’s work can also be heard on national commercial spots for Nissan, Volkswagon, Centrum, McDonalds, Televisa and Alikal.

The film is in the initial stages of its festival run.

About the Director:

Marco is a fellow of the 2006 writers lab of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), where his first feature length screenplay, 86, was selected for development. 86 was also selected into the prestigious NALIP Producers Academy for 2006 and again for 2007, where he shot scenes as a directing fellow in preparation for feature length production sometime in 2008/2009. The project was also selected for final consideration to the Sundance Writers Lab, 2007, and has since been optioned by Diana Lesmez, former President of Production at Arenas Entertainment (Culture Clash in AmeriCCA, directed by Emelio Estavez, Nicotena, Three Wise Men, and Empire).

Most recently, Marco’s second feature film project, based on the recently acquired novel, How to Cope with Suburban Stress, was selected for support in the 2007 NALIP Writers Lab, where he participated for ten days as a writing fellow. The project is undergoing further development in the Professionals Writers program at UCLA with the help of NALIP Writing Lab mentor, Harrison Reiner, former Creative Executive at Sovereign Pictures, which produced Academy Award wining films My Left Foot and Cinema Paradiso. How to Cope with Suburban Stress has also been selected as a finalist for consideration to the June Sundance Writers Lab for 2008.

Modeled after the Sundance writers and feature film labs, the NALIP writers lab and Producers Academy are important programs, sponsored and supported by HBO, Time Warner, MTV Networks, ABC/Walt Disney New Talent Development Program, FOX, Cox Communications, UCLA, ASU, UofA, the Academy Foundation, POV, HFPA Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the Ford Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the WGA East/West.
